Is Tiger Finally Ready to Compete at the Masters?

One of the most notable tournaments on the PGA Tour that many people know about whether you’re fluent in golf or not is the Masters Tournament held in Augusta, Georgia from April 11-14. Players from the whole field compete all year just to make the cut to play in the Masters. It has often been said that it’s the most beautiful yet challenging course during the PGA Tour year. The payout from winning the Masters is the highest earning all year. Many people watch the Masters just to bet on it because it is that noticed.

Patrick Reed won last years MastersĀ  and received an earning of $11,000,000 during the 72 hole shootout holding off Rickie Fowler and Jordan Speith.

Tiger Woods has been on the bubble the last few tournaments but hasn’t produced scores that he’d like to see, however this past weekend at The Players (TPC Sawgrass) he gave some jitters to the top performing golfers during the early rounds and finished at -7. Tiger has a couple of weeks to prepare for the biggest tournament of the year. He’ll be playing at the WGC-Dell Match Play- a tournament he has won several times but has not competed in since 2013. I like Tiger’s chances at Augusta, a course he is very familiar with and has played many times during his career. I would like to see Tiger in the final pairing heading into Sunday.

Bruins move into 2nd place in the Eastern Conference

The Boston Bruins move into 2nd place in the Atlantic Division with a record of 42-17 trailing the Tampa Bay Lightning. The Bruins currently have a 19 point streak along with a 6 game winning streak coming into tonights game vs the Pittsburgh Penguins. The Bruins have a 15-10-6 record on the road this season and would make a big statement if they could pull out a win tonight.

The past few seasons the Bruins have been on the cusp of being a good team to being a great team as they’ve been trying to build up a championship caliber team and make a run in the playoffs like they did a couple years back.

Last night the B’s played the Ottawa Senators at the TD Garden and pulled out a 3-2 win after David Krejci tipped a shot in front of the net. There was only 44.7 seconds left in the third period.

I think the Bruins have some high potential to contend in the post- season and possibly even make it to the Stanley Cup with a healthy roster, they have the skill set, dedication, and chemistry.

Imagine that the Red Sox win the World Series, Pats win the Super Bowl, and the B’s win the Stanley Cup all in a year.. that’s a lot of parades for Beantown.

Are the Celtics playoff worthy?

The Celtics lose yet another game to the Houston Rockets on Sunday March 3rd at the TD Garden. The team snapped a four game losing streak to the Washington Wizards the other night but didn’t take long to rack another “L” in the loss column.

Tempers have been flaring within the team and their lack of team chemistry has clearly been showing. Many sports analysts question if this is the year Kyrie will lead them to an NBA Championship? Critics say that Boston is in the top three teams of the league despite their losing antics, however say that when playoff time comes Boston will pull it together and put up a fight in the playoffs. The Celtics are currently 3rd in the Atlantic Division.

They travel out west for a road stretch facing 12 opponents that are playoff worthy during a tough time in the season, which will definitely test their potential.

Personally I think when time comes and playoffs are nearing, the Celtics will work out the kinks and be a serious contender.
